Tencent Bets on AI and Globalization for Future Growth

Tang Daosheng, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent Group, presented the company's vision at the 2025 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference in Shenzhen. The tech giant identified two core growth drivers: "intelligentization" through AI adoption and "globalization" through international market expansion.

Building User-Centric AI Solutions

Tencent Cloud officially launched its Intelligent Agent Strategic Map, marking a comprehensive opening of AI capabilities across consumer and enterprise scenarios. The strategy focuses on three key upgrades:

  1. Intelligent agent solutions
  2. SaaS+AI integration
  3. Large model technology advancements

"We're building 'user-friendly AI' that serves people in real scenarios," Tang stated. "Our goal is to enhance work efficiency, optimize interactions, and even provide emotional value."

The results speak volumes:

  • Tencent Yuan now ranks among China's top three AI-native apps by daily active users (DAU)
  • Daily queries have grown exponentially since January 2025
  • QQ Browser monthly active users increased 17.8x since April
  • IMA knowledge base surpassed 100 million files

The newly released Tencent Cloud Intelligent Agent Development Platform ADP 3.0 features:

  • Expanded plugin ecosystem (140+ MCP plugins)

The platform has already delivered impressive results in marketing applications. A collaboration with Juewei Food achieved:

2. SaaS+AI Integration

Tencent is embedding AI across its productivity suite:

  • CodeBuddy: Reduced e-commerce page development from 2 days to 2 hours
