Tmall Unveils AI Design Assistant to Revolutionize Home Merchants' Efficiency

At the 2025 Shanghai AWE exhibition, Tmall unveiled "Jiazuo," a groundbreaking AI design assistant tailored for the e-commerce industry. This innovative tool offers a comprehensive solution for home appliance, furniture, and home decoration businesses, enabling merchants to upload product images and generate professional-quality scene visuals with a single click.

AI-Powered Design Solutions

"Jiazuo" features an AI studio shooting function, capable of producing over 80 styles of scene images. Merchants can also customize designs by uploading reference images or inputting text descriptions. One standout feature is the AI model function, which simulates realistic human effects. For instance, when an AI model interacts with a pillow, the resulting wrinkles are nearly indistinguishable from real-life photography. This high-fidelity effect enhances product displays, making them more appealing to consumers.

Boosting Merchant Efficiency

According to a representative from the Mosen brand, "Jiazuo" has significantly reduced designers' workloads, allowing them to focus on creative tasks rather than repetitive processes. Over the past year, nearly 2,000 scene images have been generated using the tool, including over 900 images featuring models. This has resulted in cost savings exceeding 1.4 million yuan.

To date, "Jiazuo" has attracted over 130,000 merchants, including renowned brands like Yuan Shi Mu Yu, Mosen, and Quan You. Yu Cheng, Tmall's product manager for Jiazuo, emphasized that AI technology compresses the traditional 2-3 day design process into just a few minutes while maintaining realistic visual effects.

Expanding AI Integration

Beyond design tools, Tmall has introduced a suite of AI solutions across various operational areas:

  • Live Streaming: Merchants can create virtual live streaming scenes using only a green screen. Additionally, Taobao's official digital human provides 24/7 live streaming services.
  • Marketing: The AI-powered tool "Xiao Wan" offers personalized consulting and advertising placement solutions, saving significant time for merchants.
  • Customer Service: The "Dian Xiaomi" intelligent customer service system leverages advanced models to deliver accurate responses, effectively reducing customer service costs.

The business management platform integrates these functions, saving merchants approximately 30% of their daily time and significantly boosting productivity.

Showcasing Future Innovations

At the exhibition, Tmall also showcased its latest AI products developed in collaboration with leading home appliance and technology brands. These include innovations like AI refrigerators and robotic vacuum cleaners. Additionally, the virtual home experience cabin created by Taobao Vision and Tmall Home Enjoy Life offers an enhanced shopping experience for consumers.

These advancements signal a new era in AI-driven shopping experiences for both merchants and consumers alike.
