Plaud AI Pro Introduces Major Upgrades for Note-Taking Efficiency

Plaud.ai has officially launched its latest hardware innovation, the Plaud AI Pro, marking a significant evolution from its predecessor, the Plaud Note. Priced at $179, the new device combines extended battery life, a smart display, and advanced audio capabilities to redefine portable note-taking.

Key Hardware Improvements

The Plaud AI Pro retains its credit card-sized form factor but introduces a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen for real-time status updates, including battery levels and recording indicators. Under standard conditions, the device delivers 30 hours of continuous recording, extendable to 50 hours within a 3-meter range.

Audio quality has also seen a major upgrade with four MEMS microphones, doubling the capture range to 16.4 feet (5 meters) compared to the previous model. Enhanced noise reduction and speaker identification further improve usability in diverse environments.

Smart Features and Software Enhancements

The Pro model eliminates manual mode switching by introducing automatic scenario detection, adjusting recording settings based on usage context. The accompanying app now supports text notes with image attachments and offers AI-powered summarization tools. A template library provides tailored summaries for different roles, with customization options available.

A beta feature for note search functionality is currently in testing, promising faster information retrieval upon full release.

Market Performance and Availability

Pre-orders for the Plaud AI Pro are now open, with shipments expected in October 2025. Early adopters will receive 600 minutes of free transcription and a magnetic protective case. Monthly free transcription is capped at 300 minutes, with paid plans available for additional usage.

The company reports strong market traction, with over 1 million units of its note-taking devices shipped to date. Nearly 50% of users have upgraded to paid Pro plans, reflecting high product satisfaction.
