Baidu Launches AI Short Drama Platform in Public Beta

October 16, 2025 — Baidu Search has officially introduced its AI short drama generation platform, now available for public testing. Designed to empower creators, the platform combines automated tools with human collaboration to simplify content production.

Enhanced Creation Capabilities

The platform supports multiple creative modes, including automatic generation and human-AI collaboration, handling over 80% of content creation tasks. Creators can refine AI-generated drafts to produce high-quality short dramas efficiently. The system also ensures style consistency, enabling mass production while reducing costs.

Financial and Technical Support

Baidu has allocated a ¥1 billion creation fund and pledged 10 billion traffic support to help creators monetize their intellectual property (IP). The initiative aims to foster long-term growth for digital storytellers.

To mitigate copyright risks, Baidu is partnering with prominent rights holders to provide licensed IP resources. This allows creators to focus on innovation without legal hurdles. High-performing content will also receive IP incubation and diversified monetization opportunities.

Key Points:

  • Public beta launch: Baidu’s AI platform targets short drama creators.
  • Efficiency tools: Automates 80% of production tasks with style consistency.
  • Monetization support: Backed by ¥1 billion fund and traffic incentives.
  • Copyright partnerships: Collaborations with rights holders to streamline licensing.

The platform marks Baidu’s latest push into AI-driven entertainment, aligning with broader industry trends toward scalable digital content.
