Webflow snaps up AI content creator Vidoso in marketing push

Webflow Bets Big on AI Content With Vidoso Acquisition

The website builder turned marketing platform Webflow announced today it has acquired AI content generation startup Vidoso in a move that significantly expands its artificial intelligence capabilities.

Founded just two years ago in 2024, Vidoso had raised $3.7 million from investors including Aspenwood Ventures. The company specializes in transforming raw content like presentations or workshop materials into polished marketing assets across multiple formats - from snackable social videos to long-form blog posts.

"Most AI content tools produce generic outputs that don't fit brand guidelines," explained Webflow CEO Linda Tong. "Vidoso's tech bridges that gap beautifully by understanding each company's unique voice and approval workflows."

The four-person Vidoso team will join Webflow immediately following the deal. Their technology will be integrated into Webflow's existing platform, which has been gradually evolving from a simple website builder to a comprehensive marketing solution.

Building the Marketing Stack of Tomorrow

This acquisition continues Webflow's aggressive expansion beyond its roots. In 2024, the company purchased personalization specialist Intellimize and launched Google Ads integration. Now with Vidoso onboard, Webflow can offer clients everything from content creation to performance tracking in one place.

The move comes as competition heats up in marketing automation powered by artificial intelligence. Rather than chasing standalone AI features, Webflow appears focused on solving deeper operational challenges - particularly the disconnect between creative teams and performance data that plagues many organizations.

By combining Vidoso's content engine with its existing tools, Webflow aims to create what Tong calls "a self-learning system" that continuously improves marketing results while maintaining brand integrity.

Why This Matters for Marketers

For time-strapped marketing teams, the promise is compelling: AI that actually understands your brand rather than producing generic filler content. Early tests suggest Vidoso's technology could cut production timelines dramatically while ensuring everything stays on-brand.

The deal also hints at where Webflow sees the future of digital marketing - seamless workflows where every piece of content informs and improves the next campaign automatically.

Key Points:

  • Webflow acquires AI content startup Vidoso to expand marketing capabilities
  • Deal addresses critical need for brand-aligned AI content generation
  • Marks continued shift from website builder to full marketing platform
  • Follows 2024 purchase of personalization tool Intellimize
  • Creates potential for closed-loop, self-improving marketing system
