Volc Engine Revolutionizes AI Video Creation with Doubao 1.0 Pro Fast

On October 24, Volc Engine announced a major advancement in AI-powered video generation with the launch of Doubao Video Generation Model 1.0 Pro Fast (Doubao-Seedance-1.0-pro-fast). This upgraded version delivers dramatic improvements in both processing speed and cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality output.

Breakthrough Performance Metrics

The new model generates 5-second 720P videos in just 10 seconds - approximately three times faster than its predecessor. For budget-conscious creators, the cost reductions are even more impressive: producing a 5-second 1080P video now costs just ¥1.03, representing a 72% price cut from the previous version.

"With ¥10,000, users can now create 9,709 five-second videos," explained a Volc Engine spokesperson. "This represents a 3.56x performance improvement, significantly lowering financial barriers for content creation."

Enhanced Technical Capabilities

The Pro Fast version maintains all core functionalities while improving:

  • Instruction following accuracy
  • Multi-shot storytelling continuity
  • Detail expression fidelity

The model particularly excels in image-to-video generation, outperforming global competitors like Veo 3.0 Fast in benchmark tests.

  3. Accessibility: Smoother onboarding for first-time AI video users

"Our four core advantages - deep instruction parsing, intelligent shot planning, enhanced detailing, and motion trajectory accuracy - give creators unprecedented control," noted the Volc Engine development team.

Availability and Future Outlook

The model is now live on Volc Engine's Ark platform, marking another milestone in their AI video development roadmap. This release follows growing market demand for affordable, high-speed video generation tools among digital content creators.
