Xiaomi's Smart Glasses Now Let You Pay Parking Fees Just by Looking

Xiaomi and Alipay Revolutionize Parking Payments with Smart Glasses

Imagine pulling out of a parking spot without fumbling for your phone or waiting in line at the payment machine. That futuristic convenience is now reality, as Xiaomi's smart glasses gain groundbreaking payment capabilities through their partnership with Alipay.

Glasses That See (And Pay) For You

The new "AI Glasses Parking Assistant" feature leverages Ant Group's GPASS trusted connection technology to make payments seamless and secure. After initial setup—which requires just one-time authorization—your glasses become your parking valet. As you enter a lot, the AI assistant chirps up with charging notifications. When leaving? Simply say "Xiao Ai, pay the parking fee" or glance at the QR code displayed at the exit.

"This isn't just about convenience," explains Li Wei, a tech analyst following wearable payments. "It represents how AI wearables are evolving from novelty gadgets into practical problem-solvers for everyday frustrations."

Beyond Parking: A Health Companion Too

The collaboration extends beyond transportation needs. Alipay's AI health assistant "Ant A Fu" now lives in Xiaomi glasses too, offering on-the-go medical advice. Got a sudden headache during your commute? Your frames can suggest remedies while you focus on the road.

Currently available across China's major cities, the service works at shopping malls, office complexes, and transit hubs—anywhere you'll find Alipay's smart parking network.

Key Points:

  • Hands-free payments: Voice commands or QR code glances replace phone transactions
  • Military-grade security: GPASS technology ensures safe identity verification
  • Multi-city rollout: Already functional across China's urban centers
  • Health bonus: Integrated medical assistant provides instant consultations
