Xiaomi's MiMo AI Model Goes Paid: Entry-Level Plan Starts at 39 Yuan

Xiaomi Takes MiMo AI Model Commercial with New Subscription Plans

Xiaomi has officially moved its MiMo large language model into the paid subscription era, launching four tiered pricing options that cater to everyone from curious beginners to professional developers. The entry-level plan starts at an accessible 39 yuan ($5.40) per month, while power users can opt for premium packages reaching up to 659 yuan.

Flexible Pricing for Different Needs

The new MiMo Token Plan offers something for every type of user:

  • Lite Version (39 yuan/month): Perfect for hobbyists wanting to experiment
  • Standard Version (99 yuan): Balanced option for regular users
  • Pro Version (329 yuan): Designed for serious developers
  • Max Version (659 yuan): Enterprise-grade access for heavy usage

"We wanted to create options that make advanced AI accessible while supporting continued development," a Xiaomi spokesperson explained.

Full Model Access with Single Subscription

Unlike pay-per-use models, any subscription tier unlocks complete access to Xiaomi's three flagship AI models:

  1. MiMo-V2-Pro: The powerhouse for complex logic and technical tasks
  2. MiMo-V2-Omni: A versatile all-rounder handling multiple formats
  3. MiMo-V2-TTS: Specialized in generating natural-sounding speech

This all-inclusive approach means users aren't nickel-and-dimed for trying different capabilities.

The Business of AI Matures

The move reflects a growing trend in China's tech sector as companies transition from free beta periods to sustainable business models. Developing and maintaining advanced AI requires massive computing resources - costs that free services simply can't support long-term.

Industry analysts see Xiaomi's tiered approach as smart positioning:

  • Affordable entry point maintains accessibility
  • Higher tiers capture serious developer community
  • Creates funding stream for ongoing improvements

Key Points:

  • Xiaomi launches first paid plans for MiMo AI model
  • Four pricing tiers from 39-659 yuan per month
  • Single subscription grants full model access
  • Move reflects industry shift toward sustainable AI business models
  • Balances accessibility with need for continued development funding
