ZeroTech's G1+ Humanoid Robot: Faster, Smarter, and Priced at 95,000 Yuan

ZeroTech has pulled back the curtain on its latest humanoid robot, the G1+. Building on the budget-friendly G1, this new model brings half a dozen improvements spread across three areas: how it moves, how it senses and interacts, and how smart it feels overall. The standard G1+ will set you back 95,000 yuan (tax included), though pricing for the research-focused EDU version hasn't been announced yet.

A Neck That Actually Bends

One of the most noticeable changes is the new +2DOF neck structure. It pitches from about -25° to 36° and yaws a full ±110°, letting the robot look up, down, and around much more like a human. That extra flexibility might seem small, but it makes a big difference in face-to-face interaction.

The motor system got a serious workout too. Shoulder and waist motors now crank out 110% more peak torque, yet produce 72% less heat at the same torque. Arm motors jumped 43% in peak torque while cutting heat by 30%, and thigh motor heat dropped 28%. ZeroTech sticks with low-inertia, high-speed inner-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motors, paired with local air cooling, cross-roller bearings, and dual encoders. Translation: quicker responses, heavier loads, and longer running times without overheating.

Eyes, Ears, and a Sense of Touch

Perception gets a boost from a dual-eye plus wide-angle single-eye vision system, backed by a 3D laser radar and a belly-mounted wide-angle camera. Together, they help the robot judge depth and understand the space around it.

Interaction feels more natural, too. The head packs five touch points that trigger dialogue or actions when tapped. A six-microphone array (four front, two rear) handles sound localization, noise reduction, and echo cancellation. It can even connect to a wireless mic with a 50-meter range and an 80dB signal-to-noise ratio. Dual 10W speakers sit in the waist, so the robot can speak clearly in noisy rooms.

Power for the Long Haul

For extended online sessions, G1+ adds an external power port (DC54.6V, 5.7A) and a 13-series 9000mAh quick-release smart battery. Rated endurance is about two hours. The standard model offers 25 joint motor degrees of freedom, weighs roughly 35kg, and handles a maximum arm load of about 3kg.

Step up to the G1+ EDU and you get 25+45 degrees of freedom, a 3-DOF waist, a 7-DOF dexterous hand, and options for high-performance modules like Orin, plus secondary development support. Arm load rises to about 4kg, and the warranty stretches from 8 months to 18 months.
