Xpeng's Humanoid Robots Start Trial Runs in Guangzhou, Aiming for 2026 Mass Production

Xpeng's humanoid robot has officially entered small-scale trial production at its Guangzhou factory, marking a significant step toward mass production. The company's mass production line is now in its final integration phase, signaling that the countdown to full-scale manufacturing has begun.

CEO He Xiaopeng has taken a hands-on approach, personally assuming the role of "CEO" for the robot business to coordinate and accelerate its commercialization. According to internal plans from a recent mass production mobilization meeting, Xpeng aims to achieve mass production of humanoid robots by 2026. Starting in 2027, the company plans to gradually deploy these robots in its offline stores and other commercial scenarios, where they will take on service roles such as guidance and explanation.

Xpeng's robot business is deeply integrated with the group's core capabilities in hardware development, AI large models, supply chain management, and marketing. By systematically reusing the mature experience accumulated in its car business—including software and hardware collaborative R&D, intelligent manufacturing, and global channel construction—the company is accelerating the path to large-scale production.

As embodied intelligence emerges as a key breakthrough for integrating artificial intelligence with the physical world, Xpeng is pushing forward with a "cars + robots" cross-industry collaboration model. This approach aims to pave the way for high-end humanoid robots to be deployed in service and retail scenarios, bringing embodied intelligence terminals to real-world applications.
