WorkBuddy's New Feature: AI Co-Writes Inside Your Docs, No More Copy-Paste

On July 30, office AI platform WorkBuddy rolled out a major update: 'Human-AI Dual Writing.' For the first time, AI and users can collaborate in real time within the same document. This marks a shift from AI as a mere add-on to a true co-worker.

Unlike traditional AI assistants that force you to copy-paste and jump between windows, this feature brings AI directly into your documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Just select content and type natural language commands—AI handles modifications, formatting, and analysis right in the original file. Changes appear instantly. It's the first feature of its kind, supporting both Tencent Online Documents and local Office files (Word, Excel, PPT, MD). The promise: 'edit whatever you think of.'

In real-world use, the efficiency gains are striking. For documents, users can generate weekly summaries, adjust formatting across the board, fix typos, or refine content with a single sentence. In spreadsheets, AI automatically creates pivot tables, fills formulas, cleans data, flags anomalies, and outputs charts and analysis reports. For PPTs, it unifies styles, inserts images, splits pages, summarizes key points, and generates voiceover notes—slashing production time.

According to internal tests, writing a technical proposal dropped from a full day to just a few minutes. Market research that used to take a week now finishes in a morning. Bid document processing, which once required 3–5 days, is done in half a day. Overall, efficiency improved more than tenfold.

Alongside the feature launch, WorkBuddy kicked off a 'Share Your Usage and Win Prizes' campaign. Users are invited to try 'Human-AI Dual Writing' and share real case studies. The top prize: 2000 points plus a Tencent Document seasonal card. The campaign runs until August 16, 2026.
