How It Works

For verified enterprises, getting started is straightforward. Make sure WorkBuddy is updated to version 5.8.0 or higher and Enterprise WeChat to version 5.0.12 or higher. An administrator needs to enable the feature in the background. Once that's done, WorkBuddy appears in your contacts, ready to help.

What Can It Do?

WorkBuddy isn't just a pretty face. It can sort your unread messages and emails into three categories: "To Handle," "To Pay Attention To," and "Other." It also summarizes them along with action items. Need to forward a work message from a group chat? Just select it and send it to WorkBuddy. The system automatically identifies any referenced online documents, micro-drive files, schedules, to-do lists, meetings, and smart minutes. You can even reference micro-drive files directly in the input box or ask WorkBuddy to send messages or share products to private or group chats—with your confirmation before anything is sent.

Seamless Across Devices

The WorkBuddy robot syncs context between the app and desktop, so you can switch devices and continue the conversation without missing a beat. Scheduled tasks and message push switches let you set tasks to run on time and have results automatically pushed back to you. In the document library, you can @mention and invite Enterprise WeChat members to collaborate.

Enterprises can manage account allocation, permissions, and usage through the admin console. Actions like viewing meeting content or searching emails require employee authorization, and WorkBuddy only operates within the authorized scope.
