Tencent WorkBuddy Hits HarmonyOS PC with 'Touch & Share'

Tencent has taken a big step into the HarmonyOS ecosystem. On July 27, Zhang Jun, the company's PR director, announced that WorkBuddy—Tencent's AI-powered office agent—is now officially available on the HarmonyOS PC app market. This makes it the first desktop office AI agent within the HarmonyOS world.

What's the big deal? Well, the team worked closely with HarmonyOS experts to tackle some tricky challenges: system login, computer connection, skill invocation, and product preview. They managed to quickly sort out system-level permission adaptation, which is no small feat.

But here's the real kicker: WorkBuddy also brings a feature called "Touch & Share" that you won't find on other mainstream systems yet. It's built on HarmonyOS's underlying capabilities, and it's designed to make sharing a breeze—just a touch and you're done.

As a desktop office tool with native AI smarts, WorkBuddy already covers 17 industries, supports more than 140 AI applications, and boasts a whopping 22,000 plugins. That's a lot of firepower for getting work done.

This launch isn't just about one app. It shows Tencent's serious commitment to building an AI agent ecosystem. And it also proves that HarmonyOS has the underlying strength to handle complex AI applications, pushing desktop office toward a more intelligent and seamless future.
