Tencent Hy Translation App Goes Live

Tencent Hunyuan has officially launched the Tencent Hy Translation app, now available on mobile, mini programs, plugins, and PC. Just search for "Tencent Hunyuan Translation" to start using it. The app is powered by the Hy-MT2 translation model and supports mutual translation of 33 languages, including five Chinese minority languages and dialects. It offers multiple modes: voice translation, photo translation, and offline translation.

Offline Mode Works Without Internet

One standout feature is offline translation. You can download the translation model to your phone in advance, so it works even without internet or with a poor signal. The app is currently available in 12 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Chinese regions of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. This move highlights Tencent's focus on cross-border and multilingual scenarios.

Built on Open-Sourced Hy-MT2 Model

The Hy-MT2 model was open-sourced in May this year. It supports 33 languages and five minority languages/dialects, with significant improvements over the previous generation Hy-MT1.5 in multi-language instruction following, professional field translation, and real-world scenario translation. The launch of the Tencent Hy Translation app brings this open-source model's capabilities directly to end users.
