Samsung's 41g AI Glasses Take On Meta This November

Samsung is about to make its first foray into AI smart glasses, and it's doing so with a device that weighs just 41 grams. The glasses, likely to be called Galaxy Glasses, are set to launch in November 2026 and will run on Android XR with deep integration of Google's Gemini AI.

What's Inside

The standard lens version packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 chip, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. There's a 12-megapixel camera that shoots 3K video at 30fps, four microphones, and open speakers. Battery life is rated at up to 9 hours on a single charge, and the included charging case extends that to 72 hours.

Design and Availability

Samsung has partnered with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to offer multiple design styles. Starting in November, the glasses will be sold in Samsung Experience Stores in the U.S. and on the partners' official websites.

The Competition Heats Up

The smart glasses market is growing fast—Omdia data shows global annual shipments have already surpassed 4.2 million pairs. Samsung's entry will further intensify competition with tech giants like Meta and Apple.
