OPPO's Find X10 to Feature Manus AI Agents That Actually Do Stuff

OPPO has a new trick up its sleeve for the Find X10 series: an AI assistant that won't just answer your questions—it'll actually do the work. The company announced a partnership with AI agent platform Manus to integrate its technology into OPPO's AI Mind Pilot, a shift the company describes as moving from "answering questions" to "accomplishing tasks."

At the heart of the collaboration is the new agent mode in AI Mind Pilot, which will debut on the Find X10 series running ColorOS 17. Unlike typical voice assistants that stop at simple Q&A, this one digs into your ultimate goal, breaks it into steps, gathers information, picks the right tools, and delivers a finished result—sometimes reaching directly into your files and photos.

From 'Organize My Trip' to a Ready-to-Go Itinerary

Imagine you're planning a vacation. You say, "organize the travel plan," and the AI jumps into action. It pulls together flight tickets, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, and event passes scattered across different apps, then blends that with online info to create a day-by-day schedule. For office work, a single command can sort through travel photos, find that one specific image, or combine local and online materials into a ready-to-use PPT, proposal, or portfolio. Tang Kai, President of OPPO's Software Engineering, called this the key shift: AI agents are no longer limited to responding—they understand intent, perform actions, and deliver results.

Privacy: On-Device First, Cloud Only With Permission

Of course, handing an AI the keys to your digital life raises eyebrows. OPPO and Manus are trying to get ahead of that. ColorOS 17 uses on-device models to handle understanding and organization, so sensitive tasks like file searching and renaming stay on your phone—nothing gets sent to Manus. If a task needs cloud processing, AI Mind Pilot will only upload data after you give explicit permission. Users decide what information can be accessed, what operations can be performed, and whether external processing is allowed. It's a combination of on-device computing and transparent authorization, tying "smarter" with "controllable."

Zhang Tao, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Manus, pointed out that smartphones carry a massive amount of daily tasks, making them the most natural platform for personal AI agents. The Manus-powered AI Mind Pilot will make its debut on the Find X10 series first, so we'll soon see whether this "agent that gets things done" lives up to the hype.
