Nvidia-Powered Robots Revolutionize Food Service Industry
Richtech Robotics, a leader in AI-powered service robots, has unveiled its latest innovation in the food service industry with the deployment of Nvidia AI-powered humanoid robots at restaurants across the United States. These robots are designed to streamline operations and deliver unique customer experiences.
At "One Kitchen," a new restaurant located inside a Walmart supermarket in Peachtree City, Georgia, the Scorpion robot is serving coffee, milk tea, and fruit tea to customers. Developed in partnership with Ghost Kitchens America, Scorpion interacts with customers, monitors its environment, and prepares beverages efficiently.
Meanwhile, Richtech's humanoid robot Adam is making waves at "Clouffee and Tea" in Las Vegas. Adam handles coffee and dessert orders while collaborating with human staff who manage tasks beyond its capabilities, such as preparing snacks or bottled drinks. Staff members are readily available to assist customers interacting with Adam.
Matt Casella, President of Richtech Robotics, emphasized the growing demand for AI service robots in the food industry. "The need to improve operational efficiency and deliver exceptional customer experiences is driving rapid adoption of these technologies," he said. Casella also highlighted that the "One Kitchen" location is expected to achieve stable revenue streams and improved profitability.
To further advance robotics research, Richtech has launched an accelerator program aimed at supporting universities in their exploration of AI robotics technology. The program provides participating institutions with development frameworks and access to Richtech's robotic systems, including autonomous mobile robots and robotic arm platforms powered by Nvidia technology. These systems feature advanced capabilities such as machine vision and voice interaction modules.
The accelerator program aims to address labor shortages across industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and services by leveraging AI robotics technology. Columbia University is among the first participants, focusing its research on natural language processing.
Richtech's automated restaurant business has expanded to over 20 Walmart stores across Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Georgia. The Adam robot facilitates ordering and payment through an integrated touchscreen system. Additionally, Richtech utilizes its AI cloud platform to analyze operational workflows in restaurants, hotels, and hospitals to optimize service efficiency.
Looking ahead, Richtech plans to expand its presence beyond Las Vegas and Walmart locations. The company’s innovative approach underscores its commitment to transforming the food service industry through cutting-edge robotics technology.
