summary
Kling has launched a new feature called 'Custom Models' aimed at improving character consistency in AI-generated videos. This feature allows users to upload multiple video clips for training, leading to more reliable character representation in the final output. The latest version of Kling also supports high-definition video and offers a new 'Motion Brush' tool for enhanced creative control.

Kling Introduces Custom Models to Enhance AI Video Consistency

Recently, Kling, a product developed by Kuaishou Technology, has unveiled its new Custom Models feature, addressing a significant challenge in the realm of AI video generation: maintaining character consistency. This update, which was informed by feedback from early testers, allows content creators to upload between 10 to 30 video clips for model training, with each clip requiring a minimum length of 10 seconds.

Innovative Training Methodology

Unlike traditional models that primarily rely on image training, Kling's approach utilizes video materials as the foundation for training. This innovation also enables users to train models using AI-generated videos from Kling itself, granting creators greater flexibility and versatility in their projects.

Once the training phase is completed, users are required to tag the trained character model and provide a description of the desired scene in the prompt. The system can then generate video content that exhibits high character consistency. This capability is particularly advantageous for complex scenes that may include 360-degree rotations, multiple timeframes, and close-ups, ensuring that the appearance of characters remains stable throughout.

A recent demonstration by creator Halim Alrasihi on social media illustrates the effectiveness of this feature, showcasing the significant advancements made possible by the Custom Models update.

Enhanced Features and Capabilities

Kling launched its international version in July 2023, with the current Kling 1.5 version offering support for 1080p high-definition video output. The platform provides various format options, including landscape (16:9, 4:3), portrait (9:16, 3:4), and square (1:1), catering to the diverse content requirements of different social media platforms.

In addition to the Custom Models feature, Kling introduces another powerful tool known as the Motion Brush. This tool empowers users to precisely control the movement trajectories of various elements within the frame, significantly enhancing both precision and flexibility in video creation. Notably, users can earn 66 free creation credits daily by registering with their email, offering ample opportunities for experimentation.

Looking Ahead

This major update not only signifies a technological breakthrough for Kling in the field of AI video generation but also heralds the onset of a new era in refined AI video creation. The advancements made through the Custom Models feature and the Motion Brush tool will likely set new standards for the industry, enabling creators to produce high-quality content with greater ease and consistency.
