The recently introduced "Video Overviews" feature can transform learning materials into engaging short videos. Currently, this tool is only available for students and teachers aged 18+.
Premium Add-Ons and Student Tools
While core features remain free, Google will offer some premium options:
- Veo3 integration in Google Vids for sound effect creation
- "Gemini in Forms" for automated quiz generation from PDFs or Slides content
The "Gemini Canvas" feature allows students 18+ to create personalized study quizzes. Google plans to expand this to younger students in coming weeks.
Administrative Controls and Safety Measures
All features will be accessible through school accounts with:
- Age-appropriate content restrictions
- Enhanced AI literacy guidance
- Full administrative oversight via Admin Console School administrators can monitor usage, set permissions, and access conversation records when needed through Google Vault.
The NotebookLM tool will also become available across all grade levels with additional content safeguards.
