FF Unveils Two Robots, Plans Factory Launch This Year

Faraday Future (FF), known for its electric vehicles, is now shifting gears into robotics. At a recent event in Los Angeles, the company unveiled two new machines: the full-size humanoid robot Next Futurist and the quadruped robot Next Aegis. This move signals FF's ambition to expand beyond automobiles into the realm of embodied intelligence and EAI (Embodied AI).

The launch event also laid out a three-phase roadmap for FF's EAI Robot Acceleration Plan. According to the company, the FF robot factory will begin operations within the year, with the first main product expected to roll off the production line in February 2027. On September 19, FF plans to release more robot products and the 1.0 version of its EAI education ecosystem industry productivity solution. This initiative aims to foster 11 potential educational cooperation projects across 10 states in North America. Then, on September 28, another partner recruitment conference will focus on building upstream industries for the "four cores of full intelligence" ecosystem.

Looking at the long term, FF intends to invest no less than $5 billion over the next decade in EAI Robotics, AI, advanced manufacturing, and industry ecosystems. The company plans to maintain an iteration frequency of 3 to 5 new or upgraded products per year. To support its business operations, FF introduced the "FF PAR Revenue Flywheel Model" to expand dealer recruitment. This model aims to help partners shift from one-time hardware margin profits to continuous cumulative recurring income. Additionally, its subsidiary AIxC has launched Roboshare operations for recruitment, with the goal of creating a leading robot sharing platform in North America in terms of scale and variety.

As generative AI increasingly crosses into the physical world, FF's embodied intelligence layout—integrating hardware and computing power—demonstrates industry integration exploration. However, the actual effectiveness of its multimodal business model and the sustainability of its long-term high investment remain to be tested by the market.
