Encore AI Raises $30M to Turn Customer Calls into Sales Gold

What if your customer service calls could teach your entire team how to close more deals? That's the bet Encore AI is making. The Israeli startup just announced a $30 million Series A funding round led by Team8, with participation from Planven, Lukatz, and several banks and insurance firms.

The company's platform does something deceptively simple: it listens. By analyzing call recordings, emails, and text conversations between employees and customers, Encore AI identifies the communication patterns that lead to successful outcomes. CEO Dvir Ginzburg calls this process "interaction mining."

"Most companies sit on a goldmine of conversation data but don't know how to use it," Ginzburg said. "We help them turn that raw material into actionable scripts and strategies."

The platform connects with CRM systems to pull out effective response tactics used by top-performing employees. It then feeds those insights back to the team in two ways: through real-time suggestions during live conversations, and by powering AI agents that can handle customer interactions independently.

Founded in 2022 as a recommendation engine for financial advisors, the company rebranded to Encore AI as it expanded its focus. Today, it serves more than 40 enterprise customers, mostly in the financial sector. The company claims its annual recurring revenue has grown more than five times in less than 18 months.

Why This Matters

Customer service is often seen as a cost center, but Encore AI treats it as a data source for revenue growth. By mining conversations for what works, the platform helps companies standardize their best practices and scale them across the organization.

The approach also addresses a common pain point: high turnover in customer-facing roles. When a top salesperson leaves, their knowledge often leaves with them. Encore AI captures that expertise and makes it available to everyone.

Competition and Challenges

The customer service AI space is getting crowded, with giants like Salesforce and SAP also eyeing the opportunity. Ginzburg acknowledges the competition but argues that having data isn't enough. "Traditional vendors would need to completely rebuild their technology stack to use historical conversations as the foundation for intelligent agents," he said. "We built our platform from the ground up for this purpose."

What's Next

The fresh funding will go toward expanding sales operations in the U.S. market and deploying the platform in more large financial institutions. Encore AI is also exploring applications in other industries where customer conversations drive business outcomes, such as insurance and healthcare.

For now, the company is focused on proving that the best sales script is the one your team already wrote—you just need to know where to look.
