Professional doctors evaluated it on 27 real clinical scenarios, covering drug reviews, pre-visit summaries, and patient handovers. Out of 4,363 scores, 99.1% were rated safe. In another test on a large U.S. medical dataset, over 93% of responses got good or higher accuracy ratings. That's reassuring, though not perfect.
Currently, eligible ChatGPT for Clinicians users in the U.S. can install the Healthcare Public Data plugin. But the Epic integration is only available to institutional-level medical organizations. Individual ChatGPT accounts won't get it yet. So if you're a patient hoping to use this at your next doctor's appointment, you'll have to wait.
