ByteDance's Volcano Engine cloud and AI service platform announced on July 31 that daily token usage of its Doubao large language model has surpassed 1.64 trillion, marking a staggering 137-fold increase since its launch in May 2023. According to IDC research, Doubao now commands 46.4% market share in China's public cloud large model services sector.

New Product Launches Drive Adoption

At a recent launch event, Volcano Engine unveiled several significant upgrades:

• Doubao Image Editing Model 3.0: Enables natural language-based image processing for marketing and advertising applications
• Doubao Simultaneous Interpretation Model 2.0: Reduces voice delay from 8-10 seconds to just 2-3 seconds
• HiAgent digital employee platform: Designed to streamline enterprise workflows through AI automation

Market Leadership and Future Projections
