Alipay's AI Job Assistant Xiaoye Gets a Major Upgrade: Just Say the Word, and It Finds You Work
Alipay's AI Job Assistant Xiaoye Gets a Major Upgrade: Just Say the Word, and It Finds You Work
At the 2026 Inclusion · Bund Conference on September 11, Alipay unveiled a significant milestone for its employment services. The platform now serves more than 160 million users, with nearly 100 million subscribed. It connects over 5,000 employment ecosystem institutions and aggregates more than 18 million job positions, making it the largest flexible employment platform in China.
In just one year, Alipay's AI agent "Xiaoye" has helped 10 million people find jobs. The company aims to help another 30 million secure good jobs over the next two years through deeper collaboration with partners.

From One Sentence to a Job: Xiaoye 2.0 Covers the Whole Journey
Gone are the days of endless scrolling and repetitive applications. With Xiaoye 2.0, users can simply speak to "Abao" (Alipay's AI assistant) to find work. For example, saying "Find me a supermarket stock clerk job in Hangzhou with a monthly salary around 5,000 yuan" or "Find a weekend part-time job with daily payment" triggers intelligent matching based on skills, location, salary, and hours. One-click applications mean no more rewriting resumes or filling in phone numbers repeatedly.

After applying, job seekers can interview directly through an AI interview room—no leave required, no travel needed. Some can complete registration and onboarding within 24 hours. Currently, 150,000 positions on Xiaoye support "apply and interview immediately."
Once hired, Xiaoye continues to support career growth. If you're thinking about a career change or a raise, it offers concrete advice on which positions to target, which certificates to earn, and which courses to take. It also connects to 120,000 training courses on the platform, helping bridge the gap between learning and application.
Xiaoye AI Open Platform: Six Capabilities for Smarter Hiring
AI is rapidly entering recruitment, but not every company can build its own system. For manufacturers, service businesses, and small HR agencies, developing an AI recruitment system often means integrating large models, recruitment workflows, identity verification, payment settlements, and training—costly and time-consuming.
To lower the barrier, Alipay launched the "Xiaoye AI Open Platform." It initially opens six core AI capabilities: AI resume submission, AI interview, AI follow-up, AI verification, AI employment, and AI training, plus 38 digital atomic capabilities. Enterprises can flexibly combine these to launch in as little as one week.

With the platform, companies can achieve intelligent follow-up within 10 minutes after registration, generate evaluation reports immediately after interviews, and automatically verify real-name qualifications before employment. According to Hon Hai Precision Industry (Wuhan), AI interviews cut interview time per person from 15 minutes to 5 minutes. A large manufacturer completed over 100,000 employee registrations and verifications during a peak hiring period, avoiding employment risks.
A Growing Need for Flexible Work
China's flexible workforce has surpassed 200 million. Alipay has been evolving its employment services to meet diverse needs: in 2023, it launched the employment channel; in 2024, the "Confident Employment Solution"; in 2025, Xiaoye 1.0 improved job matching accuracy. Now, it fully opens Xiaoye's AI capabilities.
Li Jun, vice president of Ant Group and head of Alipay's business group, said Alipay will continue to promote inclusive employment. "In the next two years, through deep AI collaboration with ecosystem partners, we aim to help another 30 million people find good jobs, using digital and intelligent power to support millions of workers in achieving high-quality employment."
