Alipay's AI Job Assistant Now Finds You Work with a Simple Sentence

Alipay's AI Job Assistant Now Finds You Work with a Simple Sentence

Imagine saying, "Find me a supermarket stock clerk job in Hangzhou with a monthly salary around 5000 yuan," and actually getting matched with real openings. That's exactly what Alipay's upgraded AI assistant, Xiaoye 2.0, can do. Announced at the 2026 Inclusion · Bund Conference on September 11, this update transforms job hunting from a tedious chore into a simple conversation.

From Voice Command to Job Offer

Alipay's employment service has already reached over 160 million users, with nearly 100 million subscribing. It connects more than 5,000 employment agencies and aggregates over 18 million job positions, making it China's largest flexible employment platform. In just one year, Xiaoye helped 10 million people land jobs. Now, with version 2.0, the service covers the entire employment journey: job searching, interviews, onboarding, career planning, and training.

Gone are the days of endless searching and resume tweaking. Users can simply speak to Xiaoye on Alipay's app (Abao) to find matching positions based on their skills, location, salary, and schedule. A single click submits an application—no repeated resume writing or phone number filling. After applying, job seekers can jump into an AI interview room without taking leave or traveling. Some positions even support "apply and interview immediately," with onboarding possible within 24 hours. Currently, 150,000 jobs on Xiaoye offer this instant interview feature.

But Xiaoye doesn't stop at hiring. Once you're on the job, it continues to support your career growth. Want a raise or a career change? Xiaoye offers tailored advice on which positions to target, which certificates to earn, and which courses to take, linking to over 120,000 training courses on the platform. This helps bridge the gap between learning and application, reducing skill mismatches.

A Platform for Businesses to Go AI

Not every company has the resources to build its own AI recruitment system. For manufacturers, service industries, and small HR agencies, integrating large models, recruitment processes, identity verification, payment settlements, and training can be costly and slow. To lower the barrier, Alipay launched the Xiaoye AI Open Platform, offering six core AI capabilities: AI resume submission, AI interview, AI follow-up, AI verification, AI employment, and AI training, plus 38 digital atomic capabilities. Enterprises can mix and match these tools and get up and running in as little as one week.

The impact is already visible. Hon Hai Precision Industry (Wuhan) cut interview time from 15 minutes to 5 minutes per person after adopting AI interviews. A large manufacturing firm completed over 100,000 employee registrations and verifications during a peak hiring period, avoiding potential employment risks.

The Road Ahead

With over 200 million flexible workers in China, Alipay has been steadily evolving its employment services. In 2023, it launched the employment channel; in 2024, it introduced the "Confident Employment Solution"; in 2025, it released Xiaoye 1.0. Now, it's fully opening up Xiaoye AI capabilities.

Li Jun, vice president of Ant Group and head of the Alipay business group, said Alipay will continue to promote employment inclusivity. Over the next two years, through deep AI collaboration with ecosystem partners, it aims to help another 30 million people find good jobs, using digital and intelligent power to support high-quality employment for millions.
