Alipay's AI Job Agent Xiaoye Gets a Major Upgrade: Just Say the Word and Land a Gig
At the 2026 Inclusion · Bund Conference on September 11, Alipay shared some impressive numbers: its employment service now covers more than 160 million users, with nearly 100 million subscribers, over 5,000 partner institutions, and a staggering 18 million job listings. That makes it China's largest flexible employment platform.
In just one year, the AI agent "Xiaoye" has helped 10 million people find jobs. Alipay says it wants to double down—aiming to help another 30 million people land good jobs over the next two years.
Xiaoye 2.0: One Sentence to a Job
Remember the days of endless searching, filtering, and waiting for callbacks? Xiaoye 2.0 is changing that. Now you can simply talk to "Abao" (Alipay's AI assistant) and say something like, "Find me a supermarket stock clerk job in Hangzhou with a monthly salary around 5,000 yuan," or "Find a weekend part-time job with daily payment." Xiaoye will intelligently match positions based on your skills, location, salary, and schedule—no repeated resume writing or phone number filling required.
Once you apply, you can jump straight into an AI interview room. No need to take leave or travel; onboarding can happen in as little as 24 hours. Right now, 150,000 positions on Xiaoye support "apply and interview immediately."
But Xiaoye doesn't stop at landing the job. It also supports your career growth. Want a raise or a career change? Xiaoye will tell you exactly which positions to target, which certificates to get, and which courses to take—connecting you to 120,000 training courses on the platform. It's like having a career coach in your pocket.

Xiaoye AI Open Platform: Six Capabilities to Power Smart Hiring
AI is rapidly transforming recruitment, but not every company can build its own AI system. For manufacturers, service businesses, and small HR agencies, developing an AI recruitment system often means integrating large models, recruitment workflows, identity verification, payment settlements, and training—a costly and time-consuming endeavor.
To lower the barrier, Alipay launched the "Xiaoye AI Open Platform." It initially offers six core AI capabilities: AI resume submission, AI interview, AI follow-up, AI verification, AI employment, and AI training, plus 38 digital atomic capabilities. Companies can mix and match these to launch their own AI recruitment tools in as little as one week.

With the platform, companies can achieve intelligent follow-up within 10 minutes after registration, generate evaluation reports immediately after interviews, and automatically verify real-name qualifications before employment. They can also connect to signing, settlement, and employment security processes. For example, Hon Hai Precision Industry (Wuhan) cut interview time from 15 minutes to 5 minutes per person after introducing AI interviews. Another large manufacturer completed over 100,000 employee registrations and verifications during a peak hiring period, avoiding employment risks.

The Bigger Picture
China's flexible workforce has surpassed 200 million people. Alipay has been evolving its employment services to meet these diverse needs: in 2023, it launched the employment channel to aggregate job information; in 2024, it introduced the "Confident Employment Solution" for more secure flexible work; in 2025, it released Xiaoye 1.0 to improve job matching; and now, it's fully opening up Xiaoye AI capabilities.
Li Jun, vice president of Ant Group and head of the Alipay business group, said Alipay will continue to promote employment inclusivity. "In the next two years, through deep AI collaboration with ecological partners, we aim to help another 30 million people find good jobs, using digital and intelligent power to support millions of workers in achieving high-quality employment."
