Alibaba's Qoder just rolled out a new Fast mode, and it's not just a minor tweak—it's a serious speed upgrade. Available on desktop versions 0.4.4 and above, the feature works across personal, enterprise, CN, and international editions. And according to the company, more Qoder products will adopt this mode soon.

What's New in Each Edition?

For CN users, there's a brand-new Fast tier designed for daily tasks that need quick turnaround without breaking the bank. International users, on the other hand, will see their existing Performance mode automatically upgraded to Fast—no action needed, and output quality stays the same.

Speeding Up and Cutting Costs

The core promise here is a dual win: faster responses and lower consumption. Initial response time has plummeted from 8 seconds in the old Performance mode to just 3 seconds. That's less than a third of Auto mode's time, half of the international Performance mode, and roughly a quarter of the international Ultimate mode. Meanwhile, Credits consumption dropped from 1.1x to 0.8x—a 27% reduction.

How Does It Stack Up Against Rivals?

To prove it's not just talk, Qoder ran a horizontal evaluation using 10 of the most common real-world developer tasks, pitting its Fast mode against similar domestic and international products. The results? Qoder wrapped up answers in just one-third the time of domestic competitors and one-fourth the time of international ones. That's a serious edge in both speed and execution efficiency.
