Alibaba's New Speech Recognition Model Hits 95% Accuracy in Medical Terms

Alibaba has officially launched its latest speech recognition model, Qwen-Audio-3.0-ASR-Flash, with a clear mission: to help AI truly understand the specialized language of various industries. The model has been fine-tuned across three key areas—context consistency, industry-specific word recognition, and hot word customization—and even includes voice polishing capabilities that allow it to output structured text directly.

The research team behind this model has been busy mining professional vocabulary from fields as diverse as healthcare, IT programming, stock markets, and social media personalities. They've built a comprehensive vocabulary database that spans multiple sectors. In internal evaluations, the model showed significant improvements in "listening accuracy" across industries, with medical scenarios hitting an impressive 95.36%.

Three Versions, Five Scenarios, One Top Spot

The Qwen-Audio-ASR-Flash series has already proven its mettle in real-world applications like meeting note-taking, real-time subtitles, educational recording, and intelligent customer service. On the AI evaluation platform Artificial Analysis, it clinched the number one spot globally with an error rate of just 1.7%. That's a clear sign that AI speech-to-text has reached a level of reliability that's genuinely useful in office and educational settings.

Now, the model is accessible through Alibaba Cloud's Bailian platform, offered in three versions: the Flash version for real-time recognition of up to 5 minutes, the Filetrans version for offline file transcription, and the Streaming version for continuous real-time recognition.
