Zhiyuan's 20,000th Robot Finds a New Home — And a New Job

On September 24, the 20,000th Yuzheng A3 Ultra robot rolled off the production line at Hengqin Chimelong Spacecraft Park and was handed directly to Chimelong Group. It took Zhiyuan roughly six months to double its output from 10,000 units in March to 20,000 now. That's not just a number — it's a clear sign that the company's production capacity has hit an acceleration phase.

But the bigger story isn't the factory milestone. It's where these robots are going next.

From Factory Floors to Tourist Crowds

On the same day, Zhiyuan and Chimelong launched what they call the world's first large-scale embodied intelligent theme park. Over 300 robots from Zhiyuan's full lineup began regular duty at Hengqin Chimelong Spacecraft Park. They're not just on display — they're interacting with visitors, guiding tours, performing, and helping with science education.

This matters because it pushes general-purpose robots out of controlled environments like factories and commercial shows into the messy, high-traffic, high-interaction world of cultural tourism. There are no fixed routes here. Just constantly arriving crowds and unpredictable situations.

Meet the Yuzheng A3 Ultra

The star of the show is no slouch. The A3 Ultra packs a 360° all-around perception system, a UWB and RTK fusion positioning system, and a platform with 700 TOPS of computing power. It stands 174 centimeters tall and is built from a magnesium alloy and carbon fiber nylon composite — lightweight but tough.

The cleverest part? A 20-degree-of-freedom omnidirectional tactile dexterous hand. Those degrees of freedom let it not only deliver and transport items but also organize and restock. In other words, it has a hand that's actually useful.

A Production Timeline That Keeps Steepening

Look at the numbers straight on. In 2023, Zhiyuan had just 6 prototype machines. Mass production started in August 2024. By January 2025, it passed 1,000 units; by year's end, 5,000. March 2026 crossed 10,000. June hit 15,000. And now, September 24, 2026: 20,000.

That near-quarterly jump rhythm reflects supply chains, calibration, and scenario adaptation all maturing at once.

Making Robots Live, Not Just Show Up

To make robots truly "live" in the park rather than just appear, Zhiyuan and Chimelong also unveiled the Embodied Intelligence Cultural Tourism Joint Research Institute. They'll work together on scene adaptation for humanoid robots, algorithm iteration, content creation, and commercial validation.

When 20,000 robots leave the factory and 300 of them start interacting with real people every day in high-traffic areas, the distance between embodied intelligence being "able to work" and "able to coexist" has been significantly shortened in reality.
